Jeppe Hein creates installations that challenge the traditional notion of the passive viewer. His site-specific works are conceptual, interactive, and often activated by the interaction with the viewer. The works engage in a lively dialogue with the traditions of Minimalist sculpture and Conceptual art of the 1970’s.

Hammersley’s  ‘Geometrics’ are orchestrated compositions of sharp geometric forms, but still retain a degree of playfulness. A gridded canvas may have sections divided by diagonals or arcs. The triangles, squares, and other geometric shapes combine to form interlocking relationships to each other, creating a rhythmic composition with interchangeable positive and negative space.

John McLaughlin created a focused body of geometric paintings that are entirely devoid of any connection to everyday experience, inspired by the Japanese notion of the void. Using a technique of layering rectangular bars on adjacent planes of muted color, McLaughlin creates works that provoke introspection and, consequently, a greater understanding of one’s relationship to nature.
